On Sunday, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, Chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, held a 5 Million Man Walk in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; his running mate, Kashim Shettima; and Lagos State Governor, Bababjide Sanwo-Olu.
The rally, which was organized by MC Oluomo, attracted a large number of supporters who gathered at Teslim Stadium and National Stadium in Surulere.
Nollywood stars led by Saheed Balogun, Eniola Badmus, Eniola Aloa, Bimbo Akintola, Dayo Amusa, and others joined the rally, adorning various colors of insignia bearing Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu pictures.
Residents and participants are being protected and secured by armed security personnel led by Nigeria Police, the Department of State Service (DSS), and the Lagos Neighborhood Safety Corps (LNSC), among others.
According to MC Oluomo, the decision to hold the rally as previously planned was made after approval from APC chieftains and stakeholders in the state.
The rally, dubbed the "Mother of All Rallies," began at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos State, and proceeded down Funsho Williams Avenue to the Bolade Oshodi area.
“This is a mega rally, we are shutting Lagos down for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu. This is to show our support, strength and capacity for APC candidates because they are the best for the job at hand,” MC Oluomo stated.
