 Veteran Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has defended himself after he was caught lying inside coffin shortly after the federal government banned money ritual films in the nollywood industry.

The film maker stated that he is shooting a romance movie and he has to lie down to propose to his girlfriend.

Meanwhile,the actor's real intention is still unclear if he's really shooting a romance movie or making jest of the federal government who banned money ritual films in Nigeria.

Speaking in the viral video capturing the moment he laid in the coffin, Yul Edochie clearly stated: “This one no be ritual film oo, na romance film before you go report me give Lai Mohammed. I have to lie inside a coffin to propose to my girlfriend.”

Recall, on Feb 21st ,2022 President Muhammadu Buhari's regime banned ritual films in Nollywood industry on the grounds that they are responsible for the spate in ritual killings across the country.

The statement was released by Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed on February 21st.

Sharing the video on his instagram handle, Yul Edochie wrote: "Una say no more Ritual film abi?

no wahala.

I don enter romance, in my own way.

Una go hear am for my hand.

Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Jim Iyke & Adedimeji Lateef to feature in new comedy film “Passport”

 Nollywood stars Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Jim Iyke, Zubby Micheal, Adedimeji Lateef, Jide Kosoko have been nominated to feature in a new ghetto comedy “Passport“ produced by actor, Vincent Okonkwo.

The comedy video, directed by Dimeji Ajibola (“Shanty Town“, “Ratnik“), tells the story of Oscar and Funke, two different personalities battered by loneliness although they are both looking for a companionship.

Oscar who needs to recover his passport from a tomboy living in ghetto,is given a condition to work with her or miss a job interview that could change his life for good... watch out for the movie to find out more.

Moreover, following the completion of the principal shooting, producer Vincent Okonkwo has taken to Instagram to thank the actors and everyone involved in the film, as well as share some behind-the-scenes photos with the caption;

"When I decided to produce #passportthemovie I knew it won’t be easy considering the quality of cast and today we wrapped against all odds thanks to God almighty we made a beautiful star-studded movie.
