2023: WE WOULD NOT TAKE ANY FORM OF UNRULY INTIMIDATION AGAINST OUR CANDIDATE -SDP TO SECURITY AGENCIES

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has warned that attempts to intimidate Prince Adebayo, its Presidential Candidate in the 2023 general elections, will fail.

Barrister Solomon Dalung, Director General of the SDP Campaign Council, issued the warning at a world press briefing in Abuja on Friday, November 25, 2022.

He bemoaned the fact that they are generating documents and attempting to use the police to intimidate the SDP presidential candidate by fabricating records of alleged criminal issues.

Barrister Dslung also warned the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) not to sabotage the transition in its desperation.

As a result, he urged Nigerians to vote for credible candidates in 2023, emphasizing that it is the SDP boats of such candidates that can restore prosperity to the country.

Furthermore, Dalung expressed reservations about some of the issues plaguing campaigns ahead of the 2023 elections.

“It calls to question, the violent level that characterised the campaigns,” he added.

He condemned the open use of government paraphernalia in campaigning for APC candidates, thereby limiting the space for other contenders.

Dalung stated that using government aircraft for the APC Presidential candidate's campaign is an abuse of power, adding that if such assets are provided for one candidate, the same treatment should be given to others.

Dalung urged presidential candidates from all political parties to run issue-based campaigns, focusing on issues such as security and poverty, and those who are not in power to tell Nigerians what they intend to do.

He explained that the SDP campaign has been moving from one location to another, canvassing votes responsibly.
