A viral video captured moment Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock in the face on the Oscars stage for making joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
The presenter and a comedian, Rock, received the slap from Will Smith after comparing Jada Pinkett Smith's hair to that of G. I. Jane's, who has a shaved head.
Pinkett Smith who is suffering from a hair loss condition known as "alopecia", has been battling with it since 2018.
According to report, this isn't the first time Chris Rock has made fun of Jada. He also did so in 2016.
Maybe, this time, Will Smith targeted him by storming the stage just to slap him.
After receiving the slap, shocked Chris said: "Wow, Will Smith just smacked the s**t out of me."
"Keep my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth." Smith said as he returned to his seat.
"That was the greatest night in the history of television," Rock said as he then presented the award for best documentary.>
However, in another video, Will Smith apologised for the incident during his Oscars acceptance speech and said he was tired of the constant abuse he and his family receive.
He apologized to his family and fellow nominees but surprisingly, the actor didn't apologize to Chris Rock.
Will Smith also won the Best Oscar for Male Performance but no one is talking about his big win but the slap is making rounds on social media.
Accepting the award for Best Actor at the Oscars, Will Smith told the audience that "when one loves you, you do things for the one you love".
