"Today in history, Govt burnt Fela'S house"... Femi Kuti says as he recalls how soldiers burnt Fela'S house 45yrs ago

 Femi Kuti, one of the sons of late legendary Afrobeat musician, Fela Anikulapo Kuti has recalled how soldiers burnt his father's house in 1977.

The son of the afrobeat singer went down memory lane to recall the incident which took place 45 years ago.

Femi shared the cover page of The PUNCH Newspaper headline from that day on his instagram page.

Femi also recounted how soldiers threw his grandmother, Madam Funmilayo Ransome Kuti out of the window from the first floor, adding that she died a year later due to the injuries she sustained and never recovered from it.

"On that day, Fela’s mother, our grandma was thrown out of the window from the first floor, she died a year later from injuries she sustained and never recovered from," he concluded.
