The singer got nominated for five awards last night, including "Song of the Year" and "Album of the Year," and he arrived for the occasion suited up in pearls and diamonds.
The custom Balmain suit is quilted, high-collared and embroidered with butterflies, resembling his last year outfit which was inspired by Met Gala, although he transformed into three different outfits for the event.
To match the suit, he wore towering platform shoes and a touch of light-blue eyeshadow.
Before the show, Lil Nas X had teased his followers on Twitter with an old photo of himself in a printed long-sleeve top and belted bright orange pants, saying he was already present at the red carpet and "he looks absolutely stunning."
The 22-year-old singer had already two Grammys under his roller for his superstar lyric "Old Town Road," and primetime his expectations to feature more often for his heavily talked-about new single. During the awards ceremony, Lil Nas X performed different songs on stage, wearing a gem-encrusted one-sleeve snipped roof, which the song writer, Meecham Whitson Meriweather titled his "Dangerously in Love Album cover moment," in reference to Beyoncé's 2003 new album.
Lil Nas X also performed a song where he paid tribute to Michael Jackson in another outfit that resembled the late pop star's iconic style, with a suit jacket embellished with silver shoulder pads and elaborate detailing.
